A TWIST I'D NOT SEEN BEFORE

Well, I have to at least credit the writers for coming up with a viable problem,,,,,,,, a person carrying infectious disease that has begun to infect others around him inside of a submarine with nowhere to run.

Although, in real life, and in a SMALL WWII sub, everyone would have been infected..... not just a few.

My first time seeing it tonight. I enjoyed it. I understand what you're saying, but maybe some were just naturally immune. After all, Abers (Jeremy Sisto) said he thought his sister had meningitis and he didn't get it. Not likely I suppose, but perhaps possible. Just a thought.

A person might already have the antibodies or creates them without symptoms.

My wife got Covid, I had it within a day, one daughter same day, my oldest daughter, not at all.

I don't get influenza ever. Never had it. I just don't get it. You can cough in my face and I won't get it. Everyone else does, I do not. It's just how I'm built. I had scarlet fever as a kid, as such, I'm immune to that one which is nice. My dad is TB positive, though he never had symptoms. My grandpa had a cold, once or twice in my life, and was whiney about it. That was the sickest he ever was. Keeping in mind that the one time he he got properly sick (unknown illness around 1920) he almost died. That made him immune to everything. If he had a sore throat he would cry like a kitty. He didn't mind injury, but a sore throat made him act like he was dying.

I generally don't get sick. My youngest gets everything. My oldest soldiers through illness. My youngest just spreads disease like a plague. If she's puking, we're all puking. She's one of those. It only lasts a half a day though so it's fine. Covid has been a blessing in that regard. No contact with other gross kids spreading filth.

Everyone is different. You never know what antibodies you have. In this movie, it appears about a 90% transmission rate which is pretty accurate for the environment. Remember that meningitis was more common back then so some would have already been exposed and be able to fight it off without issue.
