Callan Mulvey accident related?

Dug this up:

Mulvey was injured in a serious car accident in 2003[1], in a head-on collision at 100 km/hr. He was trapped in the vehicle for almost an hour until he could be freed from the wreckage. The mid section of his face collapsed, an incision was made from ear to ear over the top of his scalp and 17 titanium plates were inserted to repair the fractures to his face and jaw. His left knee and ankle were badly fractured and he lost vision in one eye. He re-entered the spotlight for the release of Thunderstruck.




W0W that's some crash!

Basically, just after filming this he was in a really, really serious car crash where he nearly died.
He now has plates in his head and is blind in one eye.
If you watch him on one of his newer shows you'll notice he has a scar on his face and one eye is a bit crazy.
So yes.

My Husband and I were lucky enough to score tickets to the red carpet premiere of this movie and were shocked at the state of Callan when he showed up. He was using a walking stick and the scars were still fresh and he was obviously still sore cause he was very stiff. Seeing him now he has recovered so well and its fantastic he has been able to get back into his love of acting.
