As far as the series goes, Ultimate Spiderman has to be my favorite, followed by 2000 Spidey, and the movie ties ins 1 and 2... tie. The first had some fun level designs, but Spidey controlled rather poorly at first, compared to his later games, while Spiderman 2 the only truly great thing about it was Spiderman's control. Aside from that, the story wasn't that special and the missions were meh-ish.

Lol, yeah, Spidey 3 didn't turn out so great. Summarized, it was just an updated version of Spider-Man 2 with really good graphics but a deadbeat, dead end and deadpan city.
Spider-Man 2 is the greatest Spider-Man game of all time in my opinion. In part though, lots of my sentiment for it relies on pure nostalgia.
Spider-Man 64 was also really fun. It's on par with Ultimate Spider-Man for me.
