Pizza

Why would peter leave that awfull secretary the pizzas? he was going to get fired either way

reply

But then he's also screwing over his boss, who was nice to put up with his unreliable behavior for as long as he did. If she didn't get her order, she'd call up the pizza place and they'd likely try to make it right by sending over another set of pizzas, on the house (and/or offer her a voucher for free pizza at another time). So instead of just being out the money for the pizzas Peter gave her, they could end up being out the money for at least twice that.

There were like 6 or 7 pies there! That's a HUGE loss IMO. Can't believe they still honored that!

It is but it's also a huge loss to lose a corporate customer who makes large orders.

Most pizza places don't even do the short amount of time promise anymore because of accidents that happened where the pizza driver ran over pedestrians cause he was in so much of a hurry. I don't care for the promise myself. Every time I have a pizza delivered to my place they say, "We'll have it there in about 40 minutes." and I reply with, "Take your time. I don't want any accidents." Frankly a promise like that is ludicrous in a big city like New York where there's always a ton of traffic.
