And people give it a free pass, which annoys me. Because I've seen tons of other superhero movies get pissed on for being cheesy, but people will happily over look Spider-Man 2's cheesiness.

See, it's the exact opposite.
Raimi's cheese feels very purposeful, almost like an in-joke between him and his cast and crew. It's mildly tongue-in-cheek yet doesn't go all the way so it just feels dated and weak. Maybe if he had a better, more charismatic cast in his Spider-Man films it would work better, but as it is, it's god-awful.
I hate bring TASM series into this, but the second film gets torn to shreds to being cheesy. I can't help but shake my head at the hypocrisy. TASM2 definitely has cheese, but it's more basic, more organic to the tone if that makes sense. It's presented simply without an added layer of winking and nudging from Webb. He just lets the Rhino be OTT because that's who he is. It doesn't feel like a put-on. The cheese in Raimi's films get in the way of the drama (as does the horrible acting and dialogue) while it doesn't in the Webb films.

Bringing the Webb films into this is stupid. There is a reason that crap got canned. The acting in Raimi's films is far better than Webb's. Raimi's Spiderman knew what it wanted to be. A lighthearted fun film with dramatic elements implemented into it. It is very much in the same vain as the Donner Superman films.
Webb's went for a realistic more grounded tone. Then in the second one it is suddenly visually quite different. The second feels so bright and neon that it feels like it is trying to be a comic book. All Raimi's films are visually consistent. Webb's Spiderman went for realism in the first entry then completely negated that by the tone the second one went with. Electro, Goblin, and Rhino were just as over the top and cheese as Dafoe's Goblin was. The difference is it did not fit with the tone the previous film had established. Raimi's villains fit the tone he was going for.
You know I never understood why people are like oh Raimi's films are so cheese. Um yeah that was his intent. The MCU films are by design cheese as well. What is the difference? Why do MCU films get a pass for it but not Raimi? I find it funny how you are allowed to shove your opinion down everyone's throats but get pissed when other people do it. share
That scene in the amazing spiderman 2 when Peter researches his dad to that Philip Philips song automatically makes the entire movie *beep*
