''Punch me, I bleed''

I cringe when I read your posts.

You gave Doctor Strange, Age of Ultron, and Iron Man 3 eight out of ten, yet, I remember plenty of cringey lines from those movies. Any line from Ultron can be put in a dictionary for cringey lines.

Dont worry, OP. You arent the only one who see's how incredibly stilted the dialogue and delivery in this film is. But Raimi nob-slobbers can't take criticism. They'd rather passive aggressively insult your rating for other films as if that proves a point.

Lol. I assume it was a paraphrase of Shylock's line from Merchant of Venice, "If you prick us, do we not bleed?" But they changed it to punch, instead of prick, because Raimi has zero respect for his audience's intelligence.

For some reason I always found it endearing, although a little out of left field.

I never understood why that line was even said, what it had to do with anything. It seemed so random.

Lol, no. I’m in total agreement. I found that line odd even as a kid — cringey is exactly what it is. This film remains an all-time great piece of superhero cinema overall, but it’s definitely not without cringey lines/moments like this (that one line really stands out, though).

Oh, and lol at the EdGY projecting salty ass fanbros with their oh-so-kool tired MCU hate (manbaby manchoho would be delighted to know MovieChan is full of RaDiCal and MaTuRe film dorks like it).
