MJ is a terrible person

She's cheated on every boyfriend she's had. And she's very high maintenance. For example, she dumped Peter as a friend because he missed her play, even though there are other sessions. She also has just a terrible personality, she's always very unpleasant.

When did she cheat on Flash and Peter? And she technically didn't cheat on John. She tried to but was interrupted by a car being thrown through the window. Then she broke it off with him before getting with Peter (albeit at their wedding). You could, though, make the argument that Peter cheated on every girlfriend that he's had.

He told her he was going to be there after blowing her off for a prolonged period. She got excited and then was let down after she specifically asked him not to disappoint her and he promised that he wouldn't. Yes, there were other showings, but from her perspective he would just do the same thing to her again because that's what he does. Apparently, though, in your world refusing to be a doormat makes someone a terrible person but she didn't even do that. She was angry with him and didn't want to deal with his phony explanations immediately after it happened but she never said their friendship was over (all she did was explain that Peter hadn't been a friend to her) and it wasn't long before he convinced her to give him a millionth chance, which started with him showing up to... a subsequent showing.

Just watched this for the first time in years and thought the exact same thing. I actually just find her really annoying scream constantly

Cartain Logan says Sam Raimi`s Mary Jane is a terrible person because she`s shallow and petty and she jerks people around like she`s bipolar

Looking back, there does seem to be something off-putting about her. Given her background though, I think she had a right not to be flawless like Peter imagined she was. 🙂
