Strange Image at the end for some seconds

Was it just me, or did they cut an image of a dead body for just a second in the movie at the end (like they did in Fight Club).
Who was the guy on that image? Anyone recorded this in TV actually and could freeze the tape at that moment? Was it the body of Allen Ross?

I saw the image too, a headshot of a seemingly dead body, which appeared to resemble Allen Ross. What a strange, sad film it was.

If the movie is a true story, it was probably a quick shot of the body after it was dug up. Remember, that part of his body was not mummified.

I just saw the movie a couple of minutes ago. I saw that image at the end too and you could see parts of the upper body and very clear skin so I don't think it was the actual corpse since it was in the ground for several years. Quite disturbing though.

Anyways, does anyone know the music video playing during the credits?

I too just finished this film (very unsettling movie, btw). The flash of the image gave me a jolt as it was unexpected in a documentary, and I was already on edge as the two men were searching through that scary, earthy basement where we've been told a body had been buried for over 4 years. I TIVO'd it and then went back to look at the image and the body (well upper torse (dressed) and face) looked like a shot of dead Allen, but it couldn't have been because there was a closed door behind him (perhaps he was standing in front of it or lying on it flat) which wouldn't have been at the burial site or the morgue. Also, the closed did not look like they had been caked in dirt for four years nor was there any dried blood. There wasn't a bullet hole (method of his murder) nor was there ANY sign of decomposition as would be expected after four years in the ground. Still, the eyes are shut and the position of the body (plus the blurriness of the shot) make it seem funereal. It's a startling, strange image and the way it was spliced into that scene is indeed creepy. I'm unclear as to what Bauer's intention was in including that image, and (more to the point) why he spliced it into that scene so quickly as if to shock and startle us as if this were some horror movie like "Blair Witch". What happened to Ross, and the mysterious loss of any loved one, is horrifying enough on its own.

The shot was spliced in early in the movie when still photos he had taken were shown. It was around the part where they were describing Allen's personality.

The music video on the end credits is from a feature length doc titled "I Was There When The Blues Was Red Hot"

it was not allens body, but rahter a picture of him from years earlier when he was playing around bwith the camera.

I made the film. I decided to put in an old photo Allen had shot of himself many years before he died. It seemed to have been taken in some sort of precognition...
Thanks for watching the film.

Christian:

Is it true you began a sequel to this fine documentary (Finding Allen?) If so did it get beyond pre production?

Thanks very much,
