(but u gotta say it the way tina does in the inferno 2):)

reply

I believe she actually said 1930.

reply

yup she said 1930.

reply

She also said she was from the south here in Dominican Republic in a place called Guaca or something like that...there's no place called that in the whole country.

reply

I dunno whether she's 90 something or whether she's from God knows where in DR but she was funny as hell, especially when she was telling Judy about her days back home when she used to milk the cows and when she's telling the social worker to call her "Tatica"

reply

Yes there is, it's called La Guajaca.

You're dumb.

reply

No there's not...I have lived here my whole life and have been around the whole country many times and have never seen a place called that in the south...

Mama guebaso tu maldita madre no hable mielda sin sabe palomo

reply

She said she was from a place that sounded like Guajaca but the subtitles said Altagracia. I know her real first name is Altagracia and there is a place named Altagracia, why is there a discrepancy between what she said and what appeared on the screen?
"Qui conduisait la voiture?"

reply

she is from La Altagracia

reply

i think she had her children a bit late and dat is y she looks like their granma instead of their mother and she has a lil bit of attitude.

reply

I thought she was their grandma! anyways, she was annoying as hell and someone please tell her to get her upper lip waxed!

I LOVED THE GRANDMA!!! Specially because Im Dominicna and she acts like my grandma!! and so many older Dominican ladies from washington heights, in nyc and in the Bronx...she was so funny and her accent just hits home for me...I think this lady should get more roles, as old as she is she definitely is REAL in this movie...Im gonna buy this DVD just for her, and the cute boyw ho plays the main character...Victor and his little brother is so cute too..
For that matter, I think more Dominicans should be portrayed by the media. I hate the fact that Holywood needs to be black or white...No one can play a Dominican or Bahamian, or Caribbean character unless they are loud-talking hipanics, reggae potheads....they either have to be black or white...liek Jessica Alba, can only play in roles that is for a white person..JLO plays Italian Americans...Dark skin hispanics can never play hispanics, they HAVE to be black people in the movies...and that sux....we really have to celebrate DIVERSITY and stop assigning races to people based ont heir skin color! Being DOminican, Puerto Rican, Salvadorian..whateever represents a whole different genre and culture within their own countries, and if we show more movies based on those specific differences in culures...Acknowledging differences helps Americans move toward the color-blind society they seek for, and and a bigger appreciation for the melting-pot this country is!
