One setback in the movie...

I watched this film last night and I enjoyed it for the most part. There was one part that sort of broke the continuity of the story and the feelings. This refers to the "bridge" in the two main stories, during which there is plenty of happy music and cheesily romantic images. It broke the seriousness of the film and it made my friends (with whom I watched it) found it to be slightly harder to resist laughing during the second part than it should have been in a ghost story. Did anyone else find this?

I'm not saying I didn't love this movie, but some of the seriousness was lost after the entire cheesy love scene part.

It's as if that whole part of the movie just didn't belong. Other than that, I have no complaints.

I noticed that, too. I felt like a montage of images that we've been seeing for ages (and was hilariously parodied in the original Naked Gun). That little bit aside, I really liked the film. I didn't think that scene detracted from it too much, though.

Also, the makeup rubbing off of Yue in the final scene was a little distracting.
