PG-13 nudity
what are some other movies that got away with nudity in a PG-13
shareSixteen Candles.
shareEuropean Vacation also got away with it.
sharePG-13 didn't exist when that movie came out. I think either Pretty in Pink or Sixteen Candles (or some other movie during the time period of one or both those movies) was the first movie to hold the rating of "PG-13".
Nudity is allowed in PG and PG-13 movies along as the nudity has nothing to do with erotica or a sexual situation. It's sort of like saying the "s" word a billion times in a PG-13 movie: as long as it isn't the "F" word, it's cool.
:)
'...the ultimate ending, is war itself.'
Temple of Doom (1984) was the movie that triggered the creation of the PG-13 rating.
shareNot to be a picky little bastard, but Sixteen Candles is rated PG, which makes it more strange, since there is female full frontal nudity.

You guys are forgetting: there are 2 versions of sixteen candles. The original version is an R-rated version and was the version released in theaters. Later on in the 80's, when the movie was such a hit among adults, the film studio made the decision to cut it and make a PG version (which would be PG-13 by our standards) and release it back to theaters for the younger audience. Both versions are available on DVD.
I compare Jesus to that book salesman who has question marks on his jacket.
I Hate Your Freedom.
There is only one version of Sixteen Candles. When the film was first submitted to the MPAA it received an R rating. The filmmakers subsequently appealed that decision and the rating was lowered to PG. The film was released in theaters without a single cut made.
shareEuropean Vacation had a lot, too. It had just as much nudity as the R-rated Vacation 1.

Actually vacation had more
The good old days have gone to *beep*
I guess a little bit more. It seemed out of place in both movies, because they were fairly family friendly otherwise. There was only 4 or 5 F-words in Vacation, and only one or two in European.

Oh, I thought of another one. Wyatt Earp.

Just saw this movie last night, and I can't seem to remember any nudity at all. Ok, Sara Foster and Owen Wilson showed their belly buttons and their backs, but that ain't nudity.
Is MPAA this sensitive?
It's from 7 here in Sweden
I dont remember any nudity and i just saw the movie an hour ago. I also have a terrible memory, so i dont really know.. maybe there was.
shareAirplane was PG and there is a very funny shot of a girls breast. It's funny because there is absolutely no reason for them to be there.
Maybe that's all a family really is; a group of people who miss the same imaginary place.
I dont remember any nudity and i just saw the movie an hour ago. That's because there is none. It's all suggested or smudged out in the background. The OP has an over-excited imagination. share

There is also the 1985 PG-13 cross dressing, teen comedy (girl passing herself off as a dude)called "Just One of the Guys." The scene was towards the end of the movie and was pivotal in this character proving to the male lead who she had fallen in love with that she was a woman. It was well established that she was girl disguised as a guy and they could've shot it from her back and get his reaction but I'm not complaining. The actress, can't remember her name, had a nice body and from what I remember, you could've blinked twice and still had more than an eyeful. I was surprised it was in a PG-13 film but I suppose it wasn't in the context of the 2 characters having sex or some kind of rule like that with the MPAA.
