In an interview from 2015, the director says he has a DVD of his original cut.

I would be interested in seeing it. I noticed how some harsher words were dubbed over. The studio insisted for a PG-13 cut in hopes to make more money.

I had to think a little about the recent Cameon Crowe film, Aloha. Both filmed in Hawaii and they did not do well. All involved probably enjoyed the location though.

I would also like to see it too, since there are several scenes in the trailer that I like but didn't make it to the final cut.

Did this ever come to light? I'd buy it if they released a blu-ray. I liked the movie, but if there is some additional stuff that had to be cut (nudity, swearing, etc), and that the director wanted, it would probably be even better. It's never been released on blu-ray that I know of.
