this is a Tarantino style film

yep. One big Tarantino style film! who's with me?

reply

Not in the slightest.

Yes, this movie is written in non-linear style but they hace completly different moods. Tarintino movies are less emotional and more fun.

It is also normal for Mr. T to reach for the supernormal. Part of his style is to take things way out of the bounds of normal by means of exaggeration - to the point of ridiculous. He is the "Shock Jock" of films. There is nothing of that style in this film.

I dont even see a tiny little bit of similarity.

Just in case you're interested, it's called the suprasternal notch.

reply

Aside from the use of non-linear storylines, I see no connections.

No f uckin' way, dude.

I think you might be relating the intertwining of plot lines? Maybe..? Pulp Fiction jumps back and forth between stories and then everyone's on screen life becomes connected. That is somewhat of a shallow comparison. It doesn't hold enough weight to declare, as you did, that this is a Tarantino-ish movie.

i first saw this kind of story telling (not in a chronological order) in PULP FICTION & RESERVIOR DOGS so for me this is a Q.T type movie...YES!

reply

So every film that's remotely non linear is a Tarantino film, yeah - in fact I love how Kurosawa was influenced by Tarantino's style in Rashomon!

And that's not all -- ever notice all the samurai swords in Kurosawa films? He stole that from Tarantino too.

why? because of the rare combination of being overhyped and owning a non linear time line?
