at time of writing, this has a rating of only 4.7
i rated it a 9. i know matty wright can be annoying sometimes and the programme works differently with different panellists, but if you were to record a months worth of episodes and watch them in ten or so years, you would have a superb marker of how the country is at the time of broadcast. this programme tells us all what life is in the uk and is constantly keeping up with major issues and fun ones.
The reason for the low rating is because it is awful!
Lightweight tosh that shouldn't try to deal with serious issues. They were discussing the vote to bomb Syria this morning and managed just 2 callers before moving on. In the meantime they went to a break with a "witty" filler about a primary school kid smuggling Brussel sprouts into school. When they came back they were all having a good chuckle about that one. Talk of air strikes in Syria a thing of the past. Trivial rubbish. Will never watch this again.
Shame it's not The Rich Stuff permanently, Richard Madeley is great, any guest presenter is great compared to Wright.
shareTotally agree. I've always liked Richard Madeley, whatever he has presented. I think he is a genuinely fair and decent guy. I have to admit I have dipped into TWS since saying I never again would. I have noticed that if a guest disagrees with Matthew Wright they will discuss their differences, but if a caller should have the audacity to do the same he gets really nasty and condescending with them. He has become Alan Partridge in that he despises the public that keep his show going. Madeley never has and never will be that kind of broadcaster.

He gets annoyed with peoples opinions when they dont natch his own. He always seems to know somebody or 'has a friend' who is relevant to the subject they are discussing and sometimes hes down right rude to guest pannelists and viewers.
The older he gets the more obnoxious he becomes and i for one an fed up with his drivvel.
It was a good show but unless his attitude changes i seriously doubt it will be around in the next few years.
