I enjoyed this show, but it looks like it's not going to happen... Sad since there are only 13 episodes which means Universal could fit them on probably three discs (or even two, double sided).

Has anything new been reported in regards to the show being sold on DVD?

reply

Do you think it is possible that since the episodes were shot in HD that they would release them once HD DVD or Blu-ray comes out? Just a thought...

reply

Maybe it's possible but I doubt it. If they don't think it'll sell well on regular DVD, why would they release it on a format that not many people will own? They're narrowing the market doing that and thus won't make enough money to cover costs.

Can't say for sure, but I have a feeling that chances of a DVD release have been hurt by Tom Sizemore being in the news for acting bad towards a bunch of women. He's not the most popular guy at the moment. If anything would help, you'd think the release of the "Miami Vice" movie might, if they hyped the Michael Mann angle.

I've just been trying to watch last night's episode (Hellbound Train) that I taped and the tape must have screwed up, 'cos it cut out after about 20 minutes. They have to release this on DVD now!

I've voted on TVShowsOnDVD, total number of votes up to 245 now. Let's hope somebody takes some notice of this "campaign"...

Well--how about I wait for the other guy to tell me, because I don't have HD?

No, you definitely can't say.

The reason the show was cancelled was because of TOM and nothing but TOM. But, that was when he was severely addicted to drugs and at the time of filming "Shooting Sizemore" for VH1 which they've shown about 6 episodes of, he gets pretty straightened out. There's no telling if he stays that way or not.

He explained in last night's episode how he had a falling out with Gary Oldman, Val Kilmer and how his relationship with Michael Mann was like a father-son relationship and the best he had in Hollywood and he feels sooo ashamed for letting Michael down when he ruined RHD. He said that was the best cop show ever and just about broke down while talking. He stopped and sat down while the camera crew kept walking away from him...

Just ordered the series on Sell.com. Recorded off of TV, but a fairly decent set. Cost about $30.00. This will probably be as good as it gets.

upload it to youtube

Hopefully it's on blu ray now.
