Music Question on the Series....

...does anyone know what the opening song on the series was?

I'm going nuts trying to find it! :-)

"Deltron 3030", from the opening nightclub scene, also "3030" from "Tron 3030", Deltron's instrumental CD, is used in the opening title sequence.

If anybody else out there has some more music from last night's show, please list it here. I'm looking around for the rest of the soundtrack, too.

God, this show is cool. Blows "CSI: Miami" out of the water.

Thanks - you know your music!

I liked it too.

Yeah, I read like every review out there on the internet and somehow stumbled the theme music, then went to Amazon and found it.

Artist: Deltron 3030
Song: 3030

Does anyone know what that hispanic rap song is? The one that's playing when they go to see the housekeeper witness...."Everyday...you come my way..." Michael Mann always puts awesome music in his work. I love the show. I recorded it, and I've watched it like five more times already since Friday.

I'm pretty sure the Spanish hip-hop is Delinquent Habits, but I'm having a b#tch of a time finding the song (and I've been looking all weekend).

When I get it, I'll post it here (if somebody doesn't find it first).

What album is that song on? You're absolutely right, Michael Mann gets the best music in his stuff, from Tangerine Dream on Thief up to this stuff.

The opening song from the pilot, "3030" is the title track to Deltron's "3030" CD.

The theme, which is mixed into the pilot teaser as well as used in the show's ads, is on a CD called "Deltron 3030 - The Instrumentals".

The opening song used in the second episode, "Mini-Mall", is called "Blood on the Motorway", by Dj Shadow. It's on "The Private Press" CD.
I still can't find the Hispanic hip-hop song ("everyday...you come my way")that was used twice in the pilot episode....

As far as music goes, Mann's always a few steps ahead of everyone else out there. Obviously, the man has a passion for great music, because he always manages to find it.

In the 1980s, Jan Hammer put out two albums full of his music from Miami Vice. Hopefully the same will happen here. That Coldplay song used at the end of episode three was killer, it made that sad moment all the more poignant. If you find out any more info on the other songs, please post it. Thanks.

How about the opening Aria on Free and Clear? Does anyone know what that was? I really wish they would habitually post this stuff somewhere.

does anybody know the singer/song playing at the end of last night's(october 25) robbery homicide division episode?????

reply

i know the answer to that.. it is COOLIO. from his new Cd EL COOL MAGNIFICO.. AND THE SONGS NAME IS WHAT IS AN MC? THAT TRACK IS OFF THE HOOK...

This show rocks... best show this season....and if CBS cancels it they are nuts... there is no director better than micheal mann....

reply

If you like this show, talk it up to your friends and family. It probably won't have a big impact, but word of mouth has saved shows in the past. The main problem is that CBS put it up against L & O: Special Victim's Unit.

Who can tell me the name of the song and artist that was played on the Nov 1 episode, and is used for the Mitsubishi commercial?

Thanks in advance, steph

"Breathe" by Telepopmusik is the song from In/Famous...from Mitsubishi commercial too.

Good news to all those searching music for RHD. Go to the tvhome website, there is a person who helps contribute music to the show that is answering all music questions. Phoenix knows the names of all songs on the show. Here is the link. Click on the Main discussion board to view the comments. It is awesome!

Thanks - pn

Does anyone know anything about the song at the end of the episode "HAD". It sounds like a remixed blues song. It starts when Sam realizes that guy he just saved from death row was really guilty of killing his partner and plays out through the remainder of the episode. I've been trying to find out the name and artist of this song for awhile and haven't had any luck. Can anyone help me out?

reply

In the episode "Had" the closing song is "Smoke and Mirrors" by RJD2. I agree that it is a fantastic song. Don't bother with the rest of the RJD2 music though, it's nothing like "Smoke and Mirrors"...

reply

it's "Gunboat" performed by Vixtrola
