So what exactly are your objections to the play? It was well-staged and well-acted (by, among others, three alumni of Rumpole of the Bailey).
It is, of course, told from the British point of view. But that can hardly be your objection to the film, can it? That would be like saying "Casablanca" should never have been made because it is told from a particular point of view about the conflict in Europe.
