Depressing yeah, but nearer to a reality I live by a long shot to most of the c**p rom coms/period dramas made in the UK. This film had it failings but it's biggest problem was a lack of a descent budget, though it had a big budget sense of scale, the director you can see, treid to get away with some short cuts that let the film down. Rik was excellent though I would have liked to see more of him, wish there were a few other name actors in their that could of carried the film better. Still, it was a weird film, never really new what was going to happen next and so...for a thriller...it delivered, but not iin a Hollywood, cr**py cop out way, but in a British open ended way, that felt quite real.
