I would think the intent was to leave room for a sequel series. Conan and the Young Warriors didn't even address the issue though. It seems anticlimactic to leave that plot thread open and never do anything with it.
Yeah, I was kind of disappointed with the final episode. Mesmira and Ramm-Amon escape, Sasha and Mischa are still wolves, and Conan toasts to their next adventure.
When the next adventure comes, it's an even more watered down version of Conan, this time with him babysitting three child sidekicks, and the series is unsuprisingly canceled because, well, it sucks.
To be fair, they know what the cure is and when the flower blooms. It's really just a matter of time before Greywolf is able to see his brother and sister again in their natural form.
the follow up series only lasted a short time, maybe they would have addressed this eventually, but I liked the idea of a bit of unfinished business remained.
I all really depends on if the black ring can be restored, if not then all the loose ends a tried up (two more evil wizards lurking around isn't much of an issue considering there are plenty anyway, they can't do too much harm with that ring, we have to assume she wasn't able to resort it)
She could have easily redeemed herself there, but I think that they wanted to keep her on as a villain in a follow up series. And, of course, that didn't happen.
