...Harry Potter~ish

The Worst Witch books were wrote in the seventies and eighties so it's more the case of Harry Potter being Worst Witchish. :P

er no... Weirdsister is also a term used for Hamlet if i am not mistaken of the three sisters that to ld profocies. The only reason its Harry-Potterish is because Christian Coulson played Ben (and also Tom Riddle) You do not see wands you see potions being made and chants and all the other NORMAL Wicca stuff.. you guys are complete idiots.

Despite that my point still stands. Wherever the title came from (and I'm not stupid I knew the Macbeth reference) Weirdsister College is still a follow up series to The Worst Witch series which is based on The Worst Witch books. These books pre-date Harry Potter by decades. Both are children's fantasy book series which involve witchcraft and not Wicca (which isn't the same thing and doesn't even necessarily involve the practise of magick). One involves the use of wands, the other doesn't, they both have many similarities but also many many differences. Harry Potter appears to have been influenced by many other fantasy books.

actually in Wicca you can use a wand. It mostly channels the energy. I think you people need to do some research before saying things. But I do agree with you Amyl, Harry Potter does appear to have been influenced by many other fantasy books.

When I was talking about wands I wasn't talking about Wicca and Witchcraft. I was talking about The Worst Witch and Harry Potter, in one the characters use wands, in the other they don't. I know that wands are used in both Wicca and Witchcraft by some people, I have done some reading on the subject of Wicca. What I was doing was pointing out that there are some differences between the two book series and there are some similarities.
