She has cancer and undergoes chemo. I think the producers are planning to introduce melissa as the new lead character so I assume sarah Parish is leaving.

yeh she's like the head of the family, kinda the centre of the series, they can't make another series without her...they just can't!

it was in a magazine that allie dies. she undergoes chemo and is given the all-clear from the cancer but as she is coming out of the hospital with gavin she gets hit by a car and dies. seemed pretty reliable cos there were pics of sarah parrish led in the middle of the road.

shareI'm gutted to be honest, I know it's just a show and blah blah but I watch this every year and love it, and the main reason I watch it for (Allie and Gavin) is coming to an end I don't like what the writers are doing, this series should have been the last with Allie and Gavin back together but nooooo lets bring in a past love interest for Gavin and she can take Allie's place

I agree. I know Sarah wanted to leave and they have to write her out but it would have been better if they'd ended the series with her and Gavin actually happy for a change.
And Darcey should be with Troy!!
I understand that she wanted to leave but that should have been a sign to the writers that the show has to come to an end, what, are they gonna continue to show 7 episodes a year? I'm just gutted that after everything they're just gonna kill her off! And Troy is hot ;) Him and Darcey do have a certain chemistry.

Ok, I might go cry. Why do they have to go ruin it. I've seen acleip of episode 3 on the website and Allie making a video diary. I just have visions of Gavin watching it back when Allies gone with tears down his cheek. Also flashbacks of their happy moments. If they do carry on the series with Melissa, I don't the Henshall family will be very happy (cos Allies being replaced) nor the fans. I don't reckon the show will last after another series.
All we can do is watch the first three series again and again - the good old times! x
I agree with you amezisbak, when Sarah wanted to leave they should have just ended this series with Allie and Gavin back together, because that's what everyone wants to see, not this Melissa chick as a replacement, that's just ridiculous, how can you kill off the main cast member and expect everyone to just embrace a new character. I just don't understand, this show was about Allie and Gavin.

I think Gavin and Allie should end up being happy but I do like Melissa! I think she could have good potential, maybe in another series or in another situation because the Melissa and Gavin storyline sucks! I am a little biased though because I liked Christine Stephen Daly as Lara in Casualty!

I actually like Melissa myself, but I just don't like what shes representing. The writers are just trying to replace Allie and it's a stupid idea, the storyline at the moment just majorly sucks ass.

You're right, we don't know, I hope she doesn't replace Allie because that would be really poor writing. And I think it's pretty safe to say she does die.
