Can someone help me with this question

For years while watching this program.....I thought the narrator was someone completely different than Paul Winfield. I thought it was an older gentleman....whom I had seen on something else. I am going to give a description and see if anyone can help me figure out who I am talking about. The guy I thought it was is a very old white gentleman.....creepy looking guy with white hair and sagging jowls.....I know this person narrated something and until just recently i thought it was this program...until i was corrected and told it was winfield......does anyone recognize this description???? If so please enlighten me.

Okay, I don't know if you're talking about him, but I always thought the narrator sounded a lot like Vincent Price. He kind of had the creepy but humorous sound that the narrator does a lot of.

reply

Thanks for trying...but....its not Vincent Price...I'm thinking of.....this is a different guy. My guy is shorter....and heavier....than Price....thanks again though.

Paul Sorvino?

reply

Wasn't "Paul Sorvino" the name of Kevin's friend in the Wonder Years?

Okay, I haven't slept in four days, I know just how stupid I sound right now.

reply

thanks again....but...not paul sorvino.

reply

Bill Curtis from American Justice? Older and white.

reply

Nope...thanks again...this guy...was old and very creepy looking....sagging jowls.....scrunched shoulders.

sounds like Michael Constantine in Thinner, but the voice is wrong (and Michael Constantine doesn't really look like that or sound like that), if he has to have the voice it makes me think of one of the old dwarves in The Hobbit cartoon or maybe Gandalf.... Maybe you are thinking of John Huston at the end of his life or somebody like that http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001379/ I mean it's worth a shot.... there a lot of luminous hollywood talents with that kind of Paul Winfield voice that would have looked like you are thinking at the end and a lot of those guys worked right up till they died....just a thought......

reply

The guy is very similar to Huston in looks.....But.....is shorter and more stooped.

reply

John Houseman???

David Keith was the new voice of CC

reply

I know this question was posted a few years ago, but hopefully you stop by again at some point. I am almost certain you are thinking of William Hickey.

Tony Jay? That's who Winfield reminded me of. He qualifies as old and white. Unfortunately he also passed away around the same time as Winfield. Both had fantastic, creepy voices.

reply

It kinda sounds like you may be referring to Jay Robinson...he was scary-looking, with jowls and huge bags under his eyes. He narrated/hosted some type of scary "Believe It Or Not" TYPE TV show a few years ago, and he has also done various other narrations over the years due to his distinctive, eerie voice.

It's Jay Robinson
