Me too. I genuinely found it a poignant and well-acted drama, that is severely underrated. I am a huge fan of John Thaw, and although they make him shout in some scenes, he was very warm and loving towards cute Dominique Jackson as Saffron. The script was beautiful, and all the actors deserve a lot of praise of what they managed to accomplish with a beautifully developed drama, that could have easily become mawkish, but it was poignant but not too sentimental. I am so glad I got this on VHS, because if i need relaxing I always watch this.
