BBC Cancels Born and Bred

Have just read on the official Born and Bred site that is part of the BBC site that they have decided to finish Born and Bred when the current series in the UK finishes (tonight).

How can they finish tonight on a cliff-hanger?

They have to tell you what happens with wilf and shown jean and eddie with their kid.

Then debra and logan.

They cant cancel it.

they can't do that...i need to find out what happens with that new vicar! cause he was evil :|

I love this show. How can they leave it like that, there's so many loose ends to tie up.

I haven't seen any statement as to why the series has been cancelled - has anyone else?
The threads of stories are obviously there to allow a further series or at least a special to tie them all together.
Maybe this is the BBC's way of 'testing the waters' to see if there is sufficient interest in further episodes.
Perhaps an e-mail campaign to the Beeb will help.
