After my recent enquiry to the Beeb they have kindly responded with the offering that:
"You may also be interested to know that there are plans, at present, for a Christmas special of the programme."
If a few more fans wish to complain about the cancellation it may sway the programme makers to confirm this Special. Of course if the special has a good audience it may pave the way for more.
Thank for that, it has definetly brighted up my weekend! Fingers crossed the BBC make a christmas speical because that would be great! :)

To make a complaint just go to the bbc home page at www.bbc.co.uk, click on the A-Z link, go to the 'Complaints to the BBC' and then follow the prompts for making an official complaint - this sounds very formal but it eventually leads you to a window like this one where you just type your views.
The Beeb do appear to be very efficient and have responded to my query and complaint on Born and bred within 24 hours.

I have now complained to the BBC about them ditching Born and Bred, in a very long e-mail to them!
I think that if more of Born and Bred lovers complain then the BBC will have to make a christmas special because they won't be able to put up with all our complaining! And they will then have to make a fifth series!
So have you complained more than once?

It's great news that they may be making a Christmas special, it could tie up all the loose ends. I'm off to complain as well!!

I hope they do make a Christmas Special and keep to their word. You get to know the characters and love them, then they just stop making the show coz they wanna make room for more hospital shows.

Hello nice people on this site.My name is Sam Hudson,i payed Eddie Mills in Born and Bred.I'm afraid that the e-mail response that the Beeb is sending out about an xmas special is a lie.They are doing it because they have been inundated with complaints about them axing our show!
I would suggest that you shout a bit louder and ask why they are lying to you(try Radio Times,i've just replied to someones kind letter in that publication).
Im afraid that they are just trying to get you off their backs and as you pay your license fee(i hope!!),you should be a bit miffed about it all!

I would do (almost) anything to get B+B back but I'd have to be sure it's what everyone involved wants, it would be terrible if they were forced back by public demand when they don't want to be. Maybe they would enjoy a new challenge?
they said in thier statement that they were willing to do another series! so this means its just the bbc's fault keep emailing and writing and phone them on 08000 928 925 and keep giving them some stick set up a pertition ang get some support set up!!

I live in the states and absolutely love this show. I submitted my complaint to Beep also about it being cancelled. We cannot let this happen to such a wonderful show. The characters are like family, and not seeing them every week is like moving away from them and never being able to see them again.... we want MORE MORE MORE MORE...
I am so glad that someone feels the same as me it is absolutly terrible that the bbc have cancelled it ask also any friends to email them as well!
