He flew to Galactica in a viper. He had not been aboard in over a year. He was not expecting to stsy for more than a few hours, yet he had a Galactica insignia. He had to be stationed on another battlestar. Does anyone know which one?
shareI have no idea. It's been a while since I've seen the mini-series but I'm pretty sure this detail is not mentioned or spoken of. I suppose you can pause the DVD during the sequence when Apollo first arrives on the Galactica. You might see the patch on this shoulder indicating what Battlestar he was assigned to.
It's also possible Apollo wasn't serving on a Battlestar at the time. Maybe he was assigned to an planet-based airbase or serving some other role at the time.

Lee was a viper test pilot, on arrival his flight suit was short a left shoulder patch. In a deleted scene from Razor he states he's considering leaving Colonial fleet. Galactic would likely stock spare uniforms as I wouldn't think a viper had room to stow the service blues or dress greys he was seen in.
