Not really special, but Jean-Pierre was hilarious

Almost every line of his cracked me up. It just has to do something about his thick French accent when he speaks in English that makes him so hysterical. Let alone that he is played by David Suchet, who played Hercule Poirot! I could really hear the co-relation between those two accents.

Agreed, it is a tour de force by Suchet, completely hilarious. Even Michael Douglas is funny in this movie, though it was probably too quirky and zany to be a mainstream hit. Has nothing in common with the 70s 'original' with Alan Alda, it's a completely different film

Definitely. I thought he was the best thing about the film.

Suchet should act in more comedies, he has such a wonderful sense of comedy and comic timing.
