I'm surprised that none of the reviews for <i>The Real World: The Lost Season</i> mention the obvious parallels to <i>2001: A Space Odyssey</i>. Besides the obvious similarities in the camerawork, there's also the concept of an antagonist who can see and hear everything.

Like Hal, Roland is constantly aware of the protagonists plotting against him. And, like Hal, he just wants to live the way they do.

Finally, check this out. HAL becomes IBM. ROLAND becomes SPMBOE.

Im not sure if any one will ever read this...
I bought real world the Lost season the movie and enjoyed it.. while watching it I thought it was real... But they were actors..
No harm done.. Just the 6 ex real world people who were waiting for a couple days were going crazy..
I wished they had interviewed them after it...

The guy on guy kiss was unnessusary though besides that, it was Awesome..
Wish that the hoy tub scene was nude with no censors though

I actually enjoyed this movie and not afraid to admit it. Yeah, it was over the top and dumb, but it was entertaining. Not to mention, compared to the newer season of the Real World, it ain't half bad, lol.
