The cast were brilliant
When I just saw this on ITV3 I saw remake and thought I'd leave after 5 mins but I was stuck until the end. I thought Burton deserved a BAFTA nomination for her performance!

I just watched this on a cable channel I've never seen before. The listing on the screen read "Pollyanna" with the date of 1973 but nothing else...so I took a chance. I know the Hayley Mills version very well but have never seen any other. Well...they had the date wrong so there are more versions that I knew about. I'm glad I was able to see this one. Wow...I was hooked after the first few minutes, too and had to see it to the end. I was so very pleasantly surprised...and of course...I needed a kleenex...or two! Well done!

Just an FYI...it's on again on the BYUTV cable channel. The menu is wrong...again! Last night it read the 1973 version and today it reads the Hayley Mills version. Someone keeps putting the wrong info for the movie listing. But that's okay...I'm listening to it right now. I did get to see the very beginning...yay...I missed it last night. I should have tried to tape it.
If you get that channel where you are, check it out to see if it might come on again. If I see it listed, I'll let you know.
