Has this film been released in N. America yet? It's not playing in Canada (at least, not in Montreal...). Does anyone have any idea?

I too am in Montreal and I do know for a fact that it won't be released in NA or Canada before the Fall for now. Things could change...
Vicki, a very good question indeed! I wish we knew...have visited the Touchstone pics site and it shows as Coming Soon on their 2003 schedule but with no date assigned.
There have been rumours that it would open in the Fall 2003-but that has never been confirmed in writing.
This movie looks to be a witty alternative for adults as there are so many summer sequel movies.
On a less high brow note-can't wait to see Colin drop his trousers! A girl can dream, can't she? He looked so hot at the premiere, can that man get any better?

I'm a member of Netflix and I was surprised to see "Hope Springs" show up on there, although it doesn't have a release date. I get the feeling that Touchstone is sending this direct to video/DVD.

Turns out that it is heading straight to DVD in N. America. Fine by me; sure beats it hitting theatres and then waiting eons to come to DVD, so it's all for the best. :)

YES! I was just wondering about that. I love Colin Firth, and I love him for chosing bad movies... (I don't know why he does that, but What a girl wants was another bad one!! But I loved him, and I loved Oliver James! HE was cute... I mean both of them were HOT)
It is already Christmas of 2003, and this movie has not been released in N.America... ( I think...) So how are we supposed to see it?? I guess it'll be available as a rental movie after while isn't it???
I'm not a big fan of both female actors in this movie, (though, I was impressed by Mimi. R in Will and Grace... She was weird.) so not too crazy about it... But for Colin Firth, I suppose it'll be alright...
I just read at VideoETA.com that it will be released on DVD April 6, 2004 :(
