I loved this movie but

I saw this movie when I was only about 17 years after it came out. It really moved me, and I really loved it. I just never could understand why she would cheat on Scott Speedman in the movie, his character seemed to genuinely love her. Maybe it was because I was so madly in love with my first love when I saw this movie and couldn't even understand why someone would cheat on a good person. I think the movie was deeper than that, I wish it was played more often. I sure would like to be able to see it again now that I am older and maybe wiser. Still haven't and will never forget that first love though.
