Ending?

Can someone please tell me what happened at the end as I did not catch it!
Thanks!

At the end, the credits rolled. lol

Seriously, because the old guy had no family, he left his lottery money to the main character and her husband.

Also you should have mentioned that Amanda Donohoe's husband did not murder Bill, was not trying to murder Amanda Donohoe (as we were led to believe from his novel), and he was not having an affair with the woman who had the ticket. He was her attorney, as far as I remember, and she was having an affair with the guy who actually killed Bill, the boss of the place where Bill made his first delivery that day.

You should have also mentioned that the ending was severely tacky. Amanda Donohoe, when leaving Bill's funeral with her husband, is told she has inherited the lottery money and she looks heavenward to thank Bill and a circular digital image of Bill smiling like a berk from earlier on in the film appears over her head.

If this hadn't been in the video collection at the place I was stopping on vacation and I hadn't had a slug of Southern Comfort, I would never have watched it, but it's the best load of tripe I've seen in ages.

I just mentioned the "very" end. BTW the husband was a CPA, not a lawyer, that I DO remember.

I'm not criticising, just being glib. You can't beat a trashy TVM!

BTW, what's a CPA?
