song in the menu

Hi, Loved the movie...can someone help me out...What is the song (well it may not be a song) but the intrumental playing on the main menu? I woke up to it one morning after falling asleep to the credits and woke up to the music and had the most tranquil feeling. Thanks a bunch.

The song that is sung by Banderas when the credits roll is a Brazilian song, "Maria, Maria", written by Milton Nascimento and Fernando Brant, and it speaks about Brazilian's faith in life. It was funny to see it included on an Argentinean film...

It¿s not an Argentinian film. It's a film about Argentina.

Actually, it's not really a surprising choice -- the song is well-known in Argentina and probably throughout Latin America in general. Mercedes Sosa recorded a version of it in the 80s. (http://www.mercedessosa.com.ar/)

Do you know where i could possibly hear it? I could only see the beginning of the credits and it sounded really nice.

Hi reds-8, yes, I have the some feeling with you when I heard the music on the main menu, that is the most tranquil and worm feeling. I am sure it is a classic guitar playying music, like John Williams (Guitar prince) playing "cavatina" in the movie "the deer hunter".
But could anyone help to let me know the theme's name and who plays it? And where could I get its mp3?
