Was trying to be like 'Recess: School's Out'

For a long time, this movie had me thinking of what it was trying to imitate or copy. When I first saw this movie, in as little as possible it didn't feel like what a Hey Arnold movie should feel like. In other words, it was trying to imitate another style, plot wise. Then the other day, I saw Recess School's Out and that's when I figured it out, it felt more like a Recess plot.

The thing here is Recess could get away with this type of plot because, well anyone who grew up watching the show knows this would be something that would happen in a recess movie. Look at School's Out for example, yeah sure the plot seems absurd, but within the context of the show, it makes more sense. Hey Arnold isn't about that kind of style.
