Why was she so happy after arnold rejects her?
he says "you dont love me, infact you hate me", she then says "ofcourse i hate you football head" then she dances around all happy looking, shouldnt she be devastated that he isnt interested??
She's happy because Arnold doesn't know her secret (she loves him), I would think it was bitter-sweet.

I don't think that Arnold was actually rejecting her. If he did, he would have openly say that like he did with Lila (well, he eventually did came around with Lila and started really liking her). I just think maybe he thought it was super weird and awkward for her to be confessing all her feelings to him out in the open. You could tell in the end how they both felt really awkward bout the whole thing in the end and wanted to say it was just a "spur of the moment".
When Helga was confessing it all to Arnold, it was just too much for Arnold to process it all. He was so used to Helga being all mean and nasty to him, and to see Helga all of a sudden acting all lovey dovey to him. It was probably one of those "wtf did just happened?" moments.
As for Helga looking happy in the end, I take it she was just happy about getting to spend those waking moments with him, and the fact she got to openly express her feelings to him that had been bottling up inside of her even though she denied it afterwards. I guess she felt like she was living a fantasy, somewhat.
