Did this show have an audience or did they just use like fake cheering and clapping?

fake. i hear the same cheers and laughing in multiple episodes.

I started to wonder too since they were never shown, but there probably was since I've heard contestants names being chanted etc in various episodes. I wonder if some of it's added though after filming. They seem awfully loud.
