Why do people hate this game?

Okay, so what if C&C Generals is unrelated to the Tiberian/Red Alert storyline. So what if there's no Kane, Tiberium, or sidebar? It has the C&C logo, it's an RTS, there's base building, the GLA is similar to the Brotherhood of Nod, China is similar to GDI, the USA is somewhere in between, similar gameplay, etc. There may not be a detailed storyline, live action scenes, or a sidebar, but Command & Conquer is about commanding your forces and conquering your enemies.

If they make a Command & Conquer: Generals 2, hopefully they'll include live action scenes and the sidebar.

I don't hate it but it doesn't feel like a command and conquer because it doesn't have the side bar, Live action cutscenes and storyline etc
