Did This Movie Make Sense to Anyone?

Seriously? 1:45 of some punk kid dealing drugs to get his mom a house, but she doesn't want it for a reason she never explains, and he stabs her boyfriend?

That's it?

Pointless reply, nearly 2 years old but still, bored at work so here goes! Been a while since I've seen the film as well, came on here as I was going to rewatch tonight.

Guy was dealing to get a caravan, out of the scheme area to get his Mum a bit removed from the things that landed her in prison, namely, her boyfriend.

From what I remember, it's not so much that she doesn't want the house. She wants to be back with her boyfriend, despite her kids wanting her out of that poisonous environment and away from the drugs. The son sees the way her boyfriend has this hold over her and wants to sever it, in his eyes freeing his Mum to live a happy life.

No doubt though, the boy went to prison and his Mum got a new fix feeding boyfriend. All for nothing.

Bleak and bitter film that shows the state that some people have/choose to life their lives. Highly enjoyable by myself, maybe that's from living in similar situations and seeing people in similarly *beep* situations.

Perhaps pointless, but well-explained.

I enjoyed the film, despite never having lived in anything approaching a similar situation. The main character, his bleak situation and his hopeful (but doomed) way of trying to deal with it really resonated.
