HAHA this movie was hilarious, I'd like to know some other cheesy shark movies if anyone knows em. I saw one with Ernie Hudson and Casper Van Dien, and Deep Blue Sea (which wasn't THAT terrible) and Jaws the Revenge...but I'm sure there's others out there, any recommendations?
um theres Shark attack 2, Shark Hunter, Red water, Jaws 2(not bad movie) of course Jaws(Great Movie), Jaws 3(stupid), Shark Zone. That's all I can think of Right now I've seen all of them own most of them most of them minus jaws 1 and 2 are very cheesy but shark movies.
Deep Blue Sea was an ok shark movie, the Jaws series isn't THAT great though, including the first one. Some of those shark movies I haven't even heard of
I found another cheesy shark movie...Dark Waters....2004 straight to video release. ..not as cool as the cover made it look to be...but I still love those cheesy shark movies..
Great white(the best one), Cruel jaws(the dumbest one), Tintorera(most boring), Night of the sharks(not so much of a shrk movie), Shark´s cave(haven´t seen this one)
there is a new shark movie "Spring Break Shark Attack.' Probably better than red water and all 3 shark attack movies but probably worse than Jaws 3d or Jaws 2
Yeah I saw that one(Spring break bla bla). That was really boring since you want a ahrk movie to be gory. I saw another one yeasterday, called simply "Megalodon". The acting and the dialogue a little bit better than in Shark attack 3, but again, not nearly gory enough.
Then there's crocodile movies!!! Lake Placid being my favourite, but that one's also kind of funny, so it doesn't really qualify being "cheesy" :)
I saw Megalodon also about the prehistoric monster shark. The other one had better story than this one. Also it used CGI that was much better than the cut and paste used in this one, And this one used footage from Discovery channel. The other one seems better budget and takes it self more seriously but then again that maybe its down fall and where this one succedes. This is more campy and low budget and it really shows. Somehow this one is able to pull it off as campy late night fun.
Aren't all the people who payed to see a movie about two people stuck floating in the water for 95 minutes all idiots for paying for it? The people who did Open Water were, smart, made a movie people payed for, and they made money out of it.
You got duped, get over it. So did I.
Yet I still went to see Open Water 2. I'm the king of all the idiots.
And yes, the shark bits in Open Water were nerve wracking, especially since this is probably what happened to the poor slobs in real life.
- Jaws (The Best!) - Jaws 2 (Also one of the best, at least one of the better) - Jaws 3 (Terrible..but better than most of these Made for DVD/Video & TV) - Jaws 4 (No No No, Why did Michael Caine appear in this!?) - Deep Blue Sea (Best Shark Robots & Animation, better than the movies below) - Shark Attack 1 (Bad but have some good moments) - Shark Attack 2 (Better but still not good) - Shark Attack 3 (Awful,) - Dark Waters (Lorenzo Lamas, can you expect any worse?) - Red Water (Well, it wasn't that bad..better than Dark Waters!) - The Last Shark (Classic, Cult) - Cruel Jaws (Have some cool scenes, then it's just pure trash rip off) - Tintorera (Boring as hell, more Softporn than a Shark Movie) - Creature (Cool idea but not for TV, could been much better) - Shark Zone (Haven't Seen It Yet) - Hammerhead: Shark Frenzy (Haven't Seen It Yet) - Mako: Jaws Of Death (Haven't Seen It Yet) - Shark (with Burt Reynolds, Haven't Seen It Yet) - Megalodon (Haven't Seen It Yet)
There was a movie that came out a few years ago called Shark Hunter. It was just an OK movie, but the shark effects were actually pretty good. It was another shark movie to feature the Megalodon.
I read all these message board posts and nobody ever mentions Blue Demon. I haven't seen all of the "bad shark movies" yet, but Blue Demon is my vote for the worst. It just sucked in every way and had no redeeming qualities. Not even "funny bad" or laughable cheesy acting or dialogue, just worthless.
Mission of the Shark: The Saga of the U.S.S. Indianapolis gives the full story of the Indianapolis the Robert Shaw talks about in his famous speech in Jaws.
