How much did I miss? "Spoil" me

::sigh::

I programmed the VCR to record the show, only to find out while I was watching it I didn't get the whole thing. :'( I managed to record up to Ivo being "killed" for the 2nd time. What happened after that? What did I miss? How much did I miss? Can anyone who managed to catch the entire drama tell me what happened? Details would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

Thanks muchly!

So did they say who killed Ivo? Did the killer think he/she was killing Tim cos Ivo was wearing his yellow jacket (the one Ivo gave him originally)? Was it a case of mistaken identity? And whatever happened to the druggie who came all the way from Vancouver... the one Tim shagged? He was there one moment and the next he was gone.

Cheers.

I thought that much considering what transpired previously.

Thanks for confirming it.

Hopefully it'll be shown again sometime soon.

this is so frustrating - I have read all the messages on here and it sounds such a good film but I completely MISSED it - and despite lots of pestering the bbc don't appear to be showing it again - at least I know what happened now though - if anyone ever hears that it is coming on again please post it on here! Thanks so much.

Me too! I keep on checking choice incase there is a repeat but nothing. The person who said they'd copy it for me didn't and so I am relying on the bbc to repeat it - so annoying! And yes I just get bog standard answers from the bbc too - snotty sods.

It was a completely different ending to the book, which ended with Gilman leaving as Isabel came in and was re-united with Tim. She had believed that Tim had murdered Ivo but realised that she had thought too harshly of him once his name was cleared. Steadman's death was the means that brought them together because Tim had not been able bear to be with Isabel when under the mistaken belief that he had killed Ivo.
As for the ending in the film, it could allude to the fact that Tim once again loved Ivo after his reflections or that he knew that he would inevitably leave Isabel once she proclaimed her love for him, and didn't want to hurt her like he had hurt Ivo.
