Why does Ivor hit Tim's Face?

Recall the scene where Tim got out of the shower and told Ivor that a freshman was interested in him reading about Alaska. Ivor hit Tim for that. Was that because Ivor was possessive about Tim?

Yes and no. I think they were trying to make you think that they slept together.

I am a gay and I can tell you why Ivo hit Tim - Tim virtually bragged he had been approached, & in a challenging tone to Ivo, no wonder Ivo was angry. Ivo's insecurity came into it, but they had not been together as a couple very long, in his defence. Tim wound him up, naughtily - that was hurtful. Ivo shouldn't have landed his punch but Tim did deserve a good slap!

reply

Tim didn't deserve a slap... don't justify domestic violence.

reply

Yeah, if someone hits you, you should walk away. But winding up your partner is also domestic abuse, even if it's just psychological. Ivo should've walked away too, heh.
