This ever released?
Does anyone know if this film was ever actually shown anywhere? There's nothing under movie connections, but I really enjoyed Lost and Delirious and I'd like to see some of Léa Pool's other works.

shareI know this was posted some-time ago but... yeah, it played here in Lethbridge, Canada for about two weeks at the Movie Mill. That theatre is locally owned, so since they aren't part of any large chain they often bring in 'lesser known' movies.
And it's showing at the local library tonight hehehe. I hadn't seen it when it was at the Movie Mill so I just came here to get the exact plot outline for my mom.
I'm going to be viewing it tomorrow evening at the Orinda Film Festival (in Orinda, California.) Here's the fest's site www.orindafilmfestival.org

Yeah it opened the Orinda Film Festival on Thursday, I live here and it was definantely sold out.
shareI work for an independent video store in Walnut Creek (Cinemart), and the owner and I tried to get tickets, but they had sold out weeks ahead of time.

This movie will be showing on one of the broadcast satellite channels in Japan today. It appears that the release date for this film, known as TENGOKU NO AOI CHO, was August, 2004 and it was shown in several main theaters.
I'm not familiar with the director's work, but I love everything I've ever seen William Hurt appear in and will definitely be watching this movie today.
It is an excellent film. The DVD has several special features about the true story.

Rented simply due to an interest in entomology and really enjoyed the film. The "making of" feature on the DVD is wonderful. It is a touching story especially because it is based on a true story. DVD also offers an 'edited for language' family version which would be nice if viewed with younger kids or more sensitive adults.
Highly recommended
I saw this in BBV today. I would have had it but, those tards didn't log in a movie we took back last week didn't seem to remember until my wife called back. I had to leave without it :-(
shareI think it was just in circulation among art theatres... Pity
shareIn case anybody is interested, the DVD was released in Australia, recently I believe. Unfortunately it's hard to find and doesn't have special features, but my sister and I enjoyed watching it.
