Greeks

just a couple of observations about this movie:
-the laughter. of course it seemed force on behalf of the actors, but mostly i was a bit confused because it's true enough that greeks don't laugh enough. the do mock each other, but rarely accept jokes at their expense and generally take each other very seriously (i.e the reaction to a gay alexander) yes they are inviting warm people who willingly will take you out for a good time, they still don't laugh all that much.
-'what day is it today?' this line is said by almost every character in the movie. this struck home because greeks never know what day it is, especially in the summer..everyone is constantly lounging around the beach or a cafeneio sipping on some good frapes. i've never found this in any other country (especially north of europe, where time and deadlines are primordial) and it was good.
other than the scenery, i didn't really enjoy this film though.

it's a dirty world Reich, say what you want
