Better Than "The BenchWarmers"

I borrowed a copy of "Back By Midnight" from my local library. I love Rodney's comedy. At least three of his movies are comedy classics: Caddyshack, Easy Money, and Back to School.

The actors and the story have a certain charm, and it is easy viewing for late night.

I only mention "The BenchWarners" by way of comparison. It was painful to watch. The actors, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Jon Lovitz, never seem comfortable on screen. There is no joy in the movie.

Similar casts with different results. Don't set the bar too high and appreciate gentle brilliance of Rodney Dangerfield.
