No one here? Seriously?

I blame the fact this show was (apparently) never translated into English. And if it was, someone please tell me. I've only seen the German version and I understand very little of it on my own although I have a German-speaking friend who translates for me, helping me to understand and follow the plot. Frankly, I think it's a crime that this children's series isn't more well-known. Aside from a few flaws (the treatment of the "designated villain" character in particular bothers me) it's a surprisingly well-made show with some intelligent writing and and, yes, morals and lessons to teach kids - and shockingly it presents them (for the most part) in a way that is entertaining and part of the plot, so that it never feels like the characters are stopping to preach.

I'm 25 and I quite enjoy the show, having only recently discovered it by way of YouTube. Granted, I'm a big kid at heart so I'm not saying this means it can be enjoyed by all adults. I guess I wish this had been translated into English, so I could've grown up with it. I'm positive I would've liked it. This is one of several old shows that's been unjustly forgotten about and swept under the rug. Definitely not intentionally, of course. It's just that there's certain shows time isn't kind to for whatever reasons. So, if you speak German, or Japanese, and you like cartoons, it's my humble opinion that this one is worth a look.

Really? Looking at it now, I don't think it seems 30 years old.

This was my favourite television programme in the World when I was about 7 or 8.
