Yes, the outside of the hospital is on holbeck road in the south bay on the esplanade. There are loads of other locations there too. Next to the castle is the church where Jill and Gordon got married, across from that is their house too! If you go look at the putting green opposite the hospital, thats been on loads too. Also the italian gardens are where Jill and Gordon had their first kiss by the statue, ish! Also the harbour and the north bay where Gordon crashed his car, i'm going in a week or too, can't wait!

I dont know if I canb explain it, it just great visiting TV/FILM sets, it's magical! Yoy get shivvers down your spine. Like someone seeing their fave rock star or something. I'm a big TV fan so that is what it is like for me!

Im in an acting agency and im filming this program in Scarborough on Friday. They arent telling me my role until the day though.

I live in Scarborough and was Policing the set of the Royal the other day! Scarborough is a gorgeous seaside town and the views from the clock tower are amazing! There are lots of fantastic views of the North & South Bay. If you want to see more of Scarborough in action watch the Michael Caine Film - Little Voice, a quality British Film with many locations filmed in Scarborough. Hi I Live Here In Scarborough and love the Royal they are filming on Thursday 10th August 2006 from 8am to 12pm on Scarboroughs south bay beach its great fun to watch anyway though someone would like to know

All exterior shots are filmed in Scarobough or surrounding areas.

In Episode 3, the exterior of the court where Gavin and Joanna have baby charlie taken from them is in Leeds. Definitely.
MOST of the exteriors are in Scarborough but not all of them.

Actually the court part and the external shots of the court were all filmed in Ilkley.

Saltburn by the Sea - just up the coast is used a lot - especially for the pier - which is also, surprise surprise, used on Heartbeat from time to time - you'll recognise it as it has the cliff-side railway.

It featured tonight in the final episode of this series.

Just been watching an episode and the nurse/nun (don't know her name) is seen praying at St Mary's Church by the castle. I know that this is an Anglican church, and that she (the character) is Catholic. Perhaps the nearby Catholic church isn't as good looking as St Mary's (final resting place of Anne Bronte)
