I don't know if this is the case with this set but I do know that several series out there change the music for dvds. With some series when they obtain the rights for the songs it's only for the tv series run. It's a different contract not only for DVD sales but for syndication as well. You would think that they would obtain rights for all up front but then they are paying upfront for something that may or may not happen. You would think they could put in a clause about if this goes to syndication or DVD sales then we'll pay you so $XX amount.
I have Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime and CSI Miami (every episode) is there for me to watch so I don't need to buy dvd set so I can't speak for that particular set.
