Ladies: Never, Ever Slap a Man!

I know that tonight's break-up activity was just for fun and games, but it brings up an important subject.

Unless it's for the purpose of self-defense or for the protection of one's children or other loved ones, a woman should never slap a man. Along with this, a man should never slap a woman, for that matter.

If one is involved in a verbal disagreement, by no means should anyone involved turn the situation into a physical altercation by initiating a slap.

For some reason, many, many women feel as though they have the absolute right to slap a man if the man says something that angers her, and these particular woman feel as though they can slap a man without having to worry about suffering from any repercussions after delivering the slap. Wrong!

One should always remember that the delivery of a slap can be rewarded by getting a slap or worse from the victim of the first slap. You never know how someone may react in that kind of situation, so it's best for people to keep their hands to themselves during an argument. Never, ever assume that anyone that you may slap will simply take the abuse without responding violently.

I used to be a social worker, and I have personally and professionally known a few unfortunate woman who ended up brutally surprised after they decided to slap certain men who did not take kindly to the action. The luckiest of these women only lost a couple of teeth or ended up sporting a black eye or two. The unluckiest of these women... I really don't want to say what happened to them.

Everyone, just keep your hands to yourselves, okay?

Stop rattling the pots and pans, Ma! The boys are trying to sleep!

well it ~was~ part of a skit, called acting...even though they normally fake these things

true datt tho'! i remember even as a kid thinking how brutal a slap from a woman could be and would never think it would be ok to try to get away with unless in extreme case of someone forcefully grabbing yer ass or something..

i think it comes from seeing it in all those old movies, where one could assume it was a socially acceptable "release valve" for women who in those days probably needed some small measley way to occasionally show their disdain for men, when half the time it would've been acceptable for him to occasionally beat her

hopefully we have all grown since then

Good advice. Beyond that every person, man or woman should be held to the same standard. Striking someone with an open palm os assault and should be treated accordingly

I thought so too, especially how hard and real that slap was. She didn't pull it at all. She should have faked the slap, or better yet, not have had a slap in the skit at all, real or fake.

For me it tainted the whole exercise, which was a fun idea.

Gee Woodle, Space Kadoodle!

Yeah, I didn't like that at all. She actually slapped him just for the sake of a funny bit. Physical violence for no good reason is not acceptable. I'm female and I would never hit a guy unless there were some extreme circumstances. Definitely not for a bit like that, unless he specifically said he was okay with it. If I was him, that's the moment I would have decided to send her home.

The face slap was wrong and silly, not funny even as a skit, she hit him pretty hard too. I don't think this helped her win Nick's affection.
