There is almost no way she couldn't have known. She could be fake but it could also be that she was simply in denial. Like the men and women who wind up with horrible spouses and say "but he/she wasn't like that before." Yes they were. People do not change THAT much unless they have a brain injury. lol

She knew unless she is incredibly naive. She wanted to tell her tale of woe to Nick for the shock value and to gain sympathy so she feigned ignorance so that Nick would not think less of her for being engaged to a junkie.
shareI wonder whether the producers 'encouraged' her to 'pretend' that she didn't know. It puts her in a much better light you see and she is one of the chosen 'golden girls' of the season so they want her to come across well.
shareYup agreed. I have some pretty heavy stuff I've been through too and I would NEVER blab about it all during a first date...on TV. It takes a lot more than that for me to tell someone about my deepest hurts. And Nick reacted super weird, smiling the whole time and spouting off useless Hallmark sentiments. But god do I love b!tching about this show LOL
