I've gone through at the British detective shows and was running out of options until I discovered this series. I love it! Especially the comedy that is thrown in to the episodes. Sort of reminds me of New Tricks which I also love. And Mod is a favorite!
shareMe, too. Like you, I've gone through a lot of the British detective shows and while they're so good, I don't mind rewatching them, I was in the mood for something different. I feel so lucky I stumbled on this gem.
I love this show! The mystery is always intriguing, the characters are off-beat but not so quirky that it seems forced, the humor is well-integrated and the acting is uniformly good. I love Mod but also Dangerous' superintendant and his nutty landlady. And of course, Peter Davison is terrific.
